Vijay diwas which is celebrated on 16th December every year marks the military victory of india over pakistan in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. This day is also celebrated in bangladesh on 16th December as Victory Day. Related to vijay diwas there one more day which is Kargil vijay diwas . Kargil vijay diwas is celebrated on 26th July every year.
Vijay Diwas is celebrated to pay tribute to the martyrs of India. The anniversary of Vijay Divas every year is observed across all over India by paying tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation and this is all because of there bravery that now we all are leading a very peaceful life. On this day (Vijay Diwas) homage is payed to martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate in New Delhi as well as in the National Military Memorial.
