Brief information about SSC:-
The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is headed by a Chairman with 2 Members & a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. The Staff Selection Commission is a body which carry out recruitment to Group C (non-technical) & Group B (non-gazetted- both technical & non-technical) posts in various departments of Government of India, its attached & subordinate offices. The Staff Selection Commission is a body which doesn’t carry out recruitment made by the Railway Recruitment Boards & Industrial Establishments. SSC every year conducts common graduate exam to fill up vacant seats under different departments(Group B & C).
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) also conducts Departmental Examinations like:-
- For promotion from Group D to LDC Grade.
- For promotion from LDC to UDC Grade.
- For Promotion from Stenographers Grade D to C.
SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus and Exam Pattern
SSC CGL Tier 2 comprises three Exams. Three papers conducted in SSC CGL MAINS Exam are given below:-
- Paper 1 (Quantitative Abilities = 100 questions)
In paper 1 each question carries 2 marks and 0.5 negative marking.
- Paper 2 (English Language & Comprehension = 200 Questions)
In paper 2 each question carry 1 mark and 0.25 negative marking.
- Paper 3 (Statistics = 100 Questions)
In paper 2 each question carry 2 marks and 0.50 negative marking.
SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus:-
Paper 1 (Quantitative Abilities)
In SSC CGL Mains Paper 1 is of quantitative Abilities. In mains there are many chapters. This section contain 100 questions and each question carry 2 marks and 0.50 negative marking. Chapter wise information for paper 1 is not given in every book. Too many questions are asked from Geometry , Algebra & Trigonometry. About 40 to 45 questions are asked from these 3 topics.

In this questions are asked to check/test your understanding and knowledge of English Language. This sections contains various things. This section contains 200 questions each carry 1 mark and 0.25 negative marking.

- One word Substitution
