We all are gathered here to discuss Malala day, but before discussing Malala day, we all must-know, who is Malala? Why Malala day is celebrated?

Malala Yousafzai was born in Pakistan on July 12, 1997. Her parents are Ziauddin Yousafzai and Toor Pekai Yousafzai. She worked for women’s education from a very early age via social platforms.

At the age of 15, when she was rushing from school to home, a Talibani gunman shot her on the left side of her head. She was very serious and flown to the military hospital in Peshawar from where she was referred to London for further treatment.

After nine months of her treatment, she delivered a lecture on Women’s right to education in UN, from where she was recommended for Nobel Prize, she won Nobel peace prize in 2014 at the youngest age of 17. By this day, it is declared to celebrate July 12, as Malala day.

She has also written some books like “I’m Malala”, “ Malala’s magic pencil” and “We are displaced.” Her work and efforts make every woman Proud.
